Gabriel Seubboon Chaiyasit, Y+ Global Program Support, is a Thai citizen who identifies as queer and has direct experience working with international organizations focusing on gender, human rights, and migration.

Gabriel received his Master of Arts in Southeast Asian Studies from Chulalongkorn University in 2018. His thesis was titled "Cultural Integration of Urban Refugees into Thai Society: A Case Study of Pakistani Refugees in Bangkok." He worked as an affiliate researcher at Chulalongkorn University's Institute of Asian Studies' Asian Research Centre for Migration.

 

Gabriel also assisted Thailand's Representative to the ASEAN Commission on the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Women and Children (ACWC) for Women's Rights. LGBTIQ+ issues, urban refugees, human rights, South East Asian studies, and urban refugees are among his areas of expertise. In addition, he is a violinist and virtuoso who has appeared in a number of notable acts as an Irish, bluegrass, and pop fiddler.
